[Sending someone to retrieve Ren's goal would be sending someone to their death. Hux knows that much would be true as he drags cold air back into his lungs harshly as if expecting another round. He would be calling someone who was possibly making their way through the evacuation process and sending them back into the storm, unquestioning and loyal until the end.
Hux takes another moment just to be able to start breathing properly again. The ground under his feet is already starting to transition from a dull rumble felt through his boots to jagged, jerky shakes. The pair of them were running out of time, and probably would have if Hux had so much as a conscience about sending someone back.
