I've realized that just about anyone can be. That ... in every person, there is a bit of the Force. Luke told me it's one of the first things he learned from his first Master. [The words come quickly. Realizing that she's not entirely unique in having a connection to the Force had helped her. It's that most people don't have the means to connect with it. Maz had been one person, but many years old, with a connection to the Force outside of the ideas of Jedi, Sith, or even Knights of Ren. For Rey, who had been so afraid of this unique power, this thing that drew her away from everything she had once known, it's nice to know ... that it isn't just her and Luke.

She can help, she can wield the Force and do what she can for the galaxy, but she doesn't necessarily need to bear that weight on her shoulders alone.

There's some relief in it.]

And a Stormtrooper, someone who has the empathy to see the truth of a situation despite everything he's been taught—compassion really is at the very heart of everything. [She looks upon him fondly, offering a ... wider than usual smile. She's clearly been eager to tell him about this.]

But—I suppose we'll see. I don't know that I'm much of a Jedi myself. [She is still weighing that in her mind and what it means and the greater picture. Then again, Luke's been dealing with that, too, and the idea that they might need to reconceptualize things differently, in part because there was so much they didn't know.

Snoke should have been an impossibility to the galaxy Luke knew. But he wasn't. So that's a big part of it.]
